Compassionate Perinatal Care Near You
Dr. O’Brien was inspired to pursue the field of maternal-fetal medicine during medical school, based on a strong desire to help people “in what should be a very happy time in their lives, that can also turn into a very scary time. I really wanted to be able to help families through that.” One aspect of his career and his position at NJPA that Dr. O’Brien enjoys most is reassuring and supporting families from the first moment they come in to see him. He says that when patients first come in, they often “have that scared look, and I hope by the time they leave their appointment with me, they don’t have that look anymore. There’s a plan in place and there’s something that they can feel good about moving forward.”
He is incredibly proud of the team effort from everyone involved with each patient at NJPA, all leading towards a successful outcome and a healthy mother and baby.
In his free time, Dr. O’Brien enjoys traveling with his wife and three children, as well as sailing and fishing. Patients can make an appointment with Dr. O’Brien at any of our office locations in Belleville, Livingston, Paramus, Teaneck, Westfield, or Warren, NJ.
